If you have concerns regarding your child’s development please raise these concerns with your physician as soon as possible, as early intervention is always best. Children as young as 3-6 months can be evaluated by an Occupational Therapist for concerns related to feeding or motor development and children between the ages of 12-18 months can participate in a speech and language evaluation. Parents who are concerned about their child’s development are encouraged to consult with a professional as soon as a problem is suspected. Early identification and intervention are critical in ensuring that your child meets his/her full potential.
Some insurance companies offer coverage for clinical psychology services, speech-language pathology and occupational therapy services. We encourage all clients to contact their insurance companies before service starts to verify if they have coverage and the extent of the coverage.

Payment is due at the time services are provided. Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes exist for all psychological services, speech-language therapy and occupational therapy sessions. All invoice and receipts have the necessary codes that can be submitted to the insurance company by the client for reimbursement. As insurance policies vary greatly, all clients considering obtaining insurance reimbursement for these services should contact their provider to inquire about the extent of their coverage. We are currently able to submit directly to BritCay, AETNA and CINICO, for all other insurance providers we will provide a claim form.

A referral from your child’s physician is the first step towards service. Once you have a referral a consultation will be scheduled and if you decide to go ahead with an evaluation, that will be started directly after the consult. Depending on the assessments used, 1-3 visits may be required to complete the assessment. Once the assessment is complete we encourage parents to share the report with the client’s physician and school.
