BLAIR HEADRICK

Occupational Therapist

Blair received her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada, in 2017, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2024. She is board certified with the Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM) in the Cayman Islands and is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), Canada.

Prior to completing her Master’s degree, Blair worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant for three years, gaining valuable experience supporting children and families in achieving greater participation and independence in meaningful activities across home, school, and community environments.

Blair has experience across a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, geriatric community care, pediatrics, rehabilitation, and complex continuing care. Her pediatric experience includes working in northern Ontario, where she supported children and families within Indigenous communities. This experience strengthened her understanding of the importance of culturally safer, collaborative, and community-centered care, as well as the value of working alongside families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support meaningful participation.

Blair has a particular passion for working with children and takes a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach to occupational therapy. She recognizes and respects the diverse ways that children experience, communicate, learn, and engage with the world. Her practice focuses on understanding each child’s individual strengths, needs, interests, and goals while supporting participation and independence in ways that are meaningful to the child and family. She collaborates closely with families and educators to develop occupation-focused goals and provide evidence-based interventions that support children’s participation in self-care, play, school, and community activities.

Blair is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where children and families feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve their goals and participate fully in the activities that are meaningful to them.

Blair is passionate about lifelong learning and continually works to expand her clinical knowledge and skills to provide current, evidence-based, and neuroaffirming care. She has completed additional courses and workshops in the following areas:
